Serbian Students May Now Enter Azerbaijan without Visa

According to the document signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, citizens of Serbia may now enter Azerbaijan without visa. After Serbian students arrive in Azerbaijan and register with their higher education institution, they need to apply for the temporary residence permit.

COVID-19 Update: Citizens of 17 More Countries Allowed to Enter and Leave Azerbaijan by plane

  According to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, citizens of the Republic of Albania, Dominican Republic, Republic of the Philippines, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Uzbekistan, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Peru, Republic of Tajikistan, Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of Tunisia, Republic of Turkmenistan, and Republic of Venezuela are now able to enter and leave Azerbaijan by air. Some countries may need visa; please refer to the Visa Portal for more information. To travel to Azerbaijan, a person over the age of 18 must have a COVID-19 passport (a document confirming full vaccination or immunity gained while recovery from the disease) and a negative result of the PCR test given within 72 hours before the flight. Those under the age of 18 are required to have a negative PCR test for COVID-19 given only 72 hours before the flight.

Azerbaijani Scholarship for Hungarian Citizens

Hungarian citizens are invited to apply for the scholarship of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Students can apply to do BA/BSc, MA/MSc, and PhD degrees either in the Azerbaijani, English or Russian languages. For students whose knowledge of the tuition language does not meet the requirements, preparatory courses are organized. The duration of such courses is from 6 months to one year and determined by the admitting higher education institution. Costs of these courses are covered by the scholarship program as well. In 2022, the education year in the Republic of Azerbaijan will start on September 15. For more information about the scholarship and application process, please visit the page (in Hungarian).
