Scholarship Programme for citizens of The OIC and the NAM Member Countries 2022

“The Educational Grant Programme for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation” and “The Educational Grant Programme for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Non-Aligned Movement” were approved by the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 6, 2017 and on January 10, 2018, respectively. The Educational Grant (hereafter “scholarship”) Programmes annually provide an opportunity for selected candidates to study in the leading universities of Azerbaijan at the preparatory courses, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and general medicine/residency programmes. The scholarship covers Tuition fee International flight (from and to the country for the scholarship-holder, once a year) Monthly stipend for meals, accommodation and utility costs (800 AZN) Medical insurance Visa and registration costs Submission of Applications The application deadline is April 1, 2022. Note: The applicant must be officially nominated. Directly submitted applications will not be considered. Adam Mamadou: Niger, Country Presentations by Holders of the Azerbaijani Scholarship

The students, who have received the scholarship granted by the Republic of Azerbaijan for the citizens of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, give online presentations about their countries to Azerbaijani schoolchildren. On December 17, 2021, Adam Mamadou, a student of the Azerbaijani University of Languages, presented his country, Niger. He covered such topics as the geography, history, culture and nature of his homeland. At the end, Adam answered to many questions of the participants. 7 Azerbaijani HEIs Are Ranked in QS EECA University Rankings 2022

On December 15, 2021, the QS agency published the results of the regional ranking "QS Emerging Europe & Central Asia (QS EECA) University Rankings-2022". Seven Azerbaijani universities have been ranked in the pool of overall 450 higher education institutions. 1. Khazar University shares the 211-220th places 2. Azerbaijan State University of Economics – 221-230 3. Baku State University – 251-300 4. ADA University – 301-350 5. Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction – 401-450 6. Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University – 401-450 7. Baku Engineering University – 401-450 Congratulations to all participating Azerbaijani universities! International Students in Azerbaijan Joined to the Tree-Planting Campaign

On November 20th, international students in Azerbaijan participated in a tree-planting campaign in Khojasan, Baku. The event was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Education and the IDEA Public Union under the motto "From Victory to Green Thought" within the framework of the "Green Marathon" project. More than 100 international students from 17 universities and 48 countries overall helped Azerbaijani volunteers, students, and the officials from governmental bodies with planting trees to improve the environmental situation and increase greenery. During the campaign, students also had a chance to socialize with local students and broaden their networking.
