A networking event among the heads of higher education institutions responsible for international relations and work with foreign students was held on July 7. The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and hosted by ADA University. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange the best practices of the universities in attracting international students and working under the same umbrella when it comes to promoting higher education in Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the National Erasmus+ office, and 32 higher education institutions.
First, the head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry, Tural Ahmadov, and the director of the Admissions and Student Record Department of ADA University, Gunay Ziyadova, made an opening speech.
Later, Mujdat Hasanov, the head of the unit of the International Cooperation Department, made a presentation on the education of international students in Azerbaijan.
Fakhraddin Mammadov, vice-rector for international relations of Odlar Yurdu University, and Vlad Vernygora, vice-rector for international relations of Khazar University, also shared their experiences on the topic.
After the speeches, discussions were held among all the participants.
