On December 11, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education organized a conference on the theme "Internationalization of Science and Higher Education."

The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yalchin Rafiyev, representatives of relevant state institutions, heads and representatives of scientific and higher education institutions, officials responsible for organizing education for international students, as well as international students themselves.

In her opening speech, Ülkər Səttarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, emphasized the purpose and importance of the event in terms of the internationalization of science and higher education.

Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, spoke about raising the international rankings of Azerbaijani universities, stimulating research processes in higher education institutions, organizing activities aimed at the development of science in the country, and other related issues.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yalchin Rafiyev, highlighted the significance of international students' education in Azerbaijan as a tool of public diplomacy between countries and noted the contribution of the "Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant" to this process.

Mujdat Hasanov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, presented a statistical report on the work done in the field of internationalization of science and higher education.

The official part of the event concluded with the awarding of scholarship certificates to international students who had earned the right to study under the "Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant" program.

The event continued with panel discussions on the topics "How to Bring Science to the University?" and "Internationalization of Higher Education."

Finally, several scientific and higher education institutions distinguished for their work with international students, as well as international students excelling in academic performance, social activities, and publication of scientific articles (doctoral level), were awarded for their achievements.
