The number of Azerbaijani universities included in the ranking published across 11 subject areas has increased to 4 for the first time. Baku State University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and Azerbaijan Technical University have been ranked in the respective fields. It should be noted that two of our universities (Azerbaijan State University of Economics and Azerbaijan Technical University) entered the relevant subject rankings for the first time this year. 
 
Additionally, the number of subject areas in which Azerbaijani universities are represented has also risen to 4 for the first time. Alongside &ldquo;Engineering&rdquo; and &ldquo;Physical Sciences,&rdquo; Azerbaijan is now also represented in &ldquo;Business and Economics&rdquo; and &ldquo;Social Sciences&rdquo; as follows: 
 
Engineering- Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and Azerbaijan Technical University; 
 
Physical Sciences- Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku State University, and Azerbaijan Technical University; 
 
Business and Economics - Azerbaijan State University of Economics; 
 
Social Sciences - Azerbaijan State University of Economics. 
 
It should be noted that the THE subject ranking methodology is based on 18 indicators across 5 areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and internationalization.

THE subject rankings Azerbaijani universities reach 4 for the first time

Azerbaijan&rsquo;s representation in the QS Europe University Rankings has seen a significant increase this year. According to the QS Best Universities in Europe list published by the international ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the number of Azerbaijani universities included in the ranking has risen from 9 to 15 compared to last year. Among 958 universities from 42 countries, 6 Azerbaijani universities have entered the ranking for the first time this year. 
 
In terms of the number of newly included institutions, Azerbaijan ranks 17th. At the same time, among countries represented by 10 or more universities, Azerbaijan holds 3rd place in terms of the improvement of universities&rsquo; ranking positions. 
 
The top three universities in Azerbaijan according to the QS Europe Rankings are: 
 
Azerbaijan State University of Economics &ndash; 271st place 
Baku State University &ndash; 278th place 
Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University &ndash; 349th place

В этом году представительство Азербайджана в рейтинге QS Europe University Rankings значительно увеличилось. Согласно списку QS Best Universities in Europe, опубликованному международным рейтинговым агентством Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), количество азербайджанских университетов, включённых в рейтинг, по сравнению с прошлым годом выросло с 9 до 15. Среди 958 университетов из 42 стран 6 азербайджанских вузов впервые вошли в рейтинг в этом году.

An agency agreement has been signed between Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and Education in Azerbaijan LLC within the framework of the Study in Azerbaijan project. The agreement was signed by BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov and Director of Education in Azerbaijan LLC, Shabnam Safarova. 
 
The document provides for the delivery of services aimed at attracting international students to BHOS, the establishment of institutional cooperation in this area, as well as support for the university&rsquo;s international representation. Under the agreement, BHOS is planned to be systematically promoted on international education platforms through the Study in Azerbaijan initiative. 
 
Emphasizing the importance of the agreement, Rector Elmar Gasimov noted that this cooperation will make a significant contribution to increasing the number of international students-one of the key priorities outlined in BHOS&rsquo;s strategic development plan, and to enhancing the university&rsquo;s international competitiveness. 
 
In her remarks, Shabnam Safarova, Director of Education in Azerbaijan LLC, stated that the cooperation established with BHOS is of particular importance for promoting Azerbaijan&rsquo;s higher education institutions on an international scale. She emphasized that within the framework of the agreement, the activities of Study in Azerbaijan will not be limited solely to attracting international students; the university will also be systematically represented through international exhibitions, partner networks, and digital platforms. 
 
It should be noted that the Study in Azerbaijan project is a national platform established on the basis of a public-private partnership model initiated by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project is implemented jointly with SABAH.HUB and aims to promote Azerbaijan&rsquo;s higher education opportunities internationally under a unified brand, as well as to establish information and support mechanisms for international students.

В рамках проекта Study in Azerbaijan между Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) и компанией Education in Azerbaijan LLC было подписано агентское соглашение. Документ подписали ректор BHOS Эльмар Гасымов и директор Education in Azerbaijan LLC Шабнам Сафарова. 
 
Соглашение предусматривает оказание услуг, направленных на привлечение иностранных студентов в BHOS, установление институционального сотрудничества в данной сфере, а также поддержку международного представительства университета. В рамках соглашения планируется системное продвижение BHOS на международных образовательных платформах посредством инициативы Study in Azerbaijan. 
 
Подчёркивая значимость соглашения, ректор Эльмар Гасымов отметил, что данное сотрудничество внесёт существенный вклад в увеличение числа иностранных студентов - одного из ключевых приоритетов, обозначенных в стратегическом плане развития BHOS, а также в повышение международной конкурентоспособности университета. 
 
В своём выступлении директор Education in Azerbaijan LLC Шабнам Сафарова подчеркнула, что установленное сотрудничество с BHOS имеет особое значение для продвижения высших учебных заведений Азербайджана на международной арене. Она отметила, что в рамках соглашения деятельность Study in Azerbaijan не будет ограничиваться исключительно привлечением иностранных студентов; университет также будет системно представлен на международных выставках, через партнёрские сети и цифровые платформы. 
 
Следует отметить, что проект Study in Azerbaijan является национальной платформой, созданной на основе модели государственно-частного партнёрства по инициативе Министерства науки и образования Азербайджанской Республики.
