The “Study in Azerbaijan” Education Fair has officially opened in Kazakhstan

On April 6, the official opening ceremony of the “Study in Azerbaijan” international education fair, featuring Azerbaijani higher education institutions, was held at the Farabi Hub Innovation Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Organized within the framework of the “Study in Azerbaijan” initiative, the fair aims to further strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education and science, as well as to familiarize Kazakh students and applicants with study opportunities in Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev; the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek; as well as rectors of leading universities and representatives of the education sector from both countries.
Nearly 25 leading higher education institutions from Azerbaijan are represented at the fair. Within the framework of the fair, participants can obtain detailed information about higher education programs, academic opportunities, and scientific achievements in Azerbaijan, as well as get answers to their questions regarding scholarships, academic mobility, dual degree programs, and admission requirements.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized that this initiative is a successful continuation of bilateral cooperation. He noted that more than 2,500 Azerbaijani students participated in the “Study in Kazakhstan” fair held in Azerbaijan last year, during which around 80 important agreements were reached. Today’s fair is also a clear example of the continued and effective development of this cooperation.
In turn, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, highlighted the importance of international integration in education. He stated that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan share common historical and cultural values, and that cooperation in the field of education further strengthens this connection. The Minister added that such platforms help young people make informed career choices and become competitive professionals at the international level.
It should be noted that the “Study in Azerbaijan” international education fair will continue on April 7–8 at the Farabi Hub KazNU Center.
