The ranking of the top universities in Emerging Europe & Central Asia has been announced by the QS World University Rankings

 

The ranking includes 400 institutions from 85 Emerging Europe & Central Asia countries. The leading university locations include Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Czech Republic and Hungary. 
Azerbaijan is represented in this ranking by 7 universities - Baku State University (211-220th place), Azerbaijan State University of Economics (221-230th place), Khazar University (241-250th place), “ADA” University (301-350th place), Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, and Baku Engineering University share the same range in the ranking (351-400th place). Compared to the last year (2020), two more universities presented the latest insights based on cost, quality of faculty, university size, research opportunities, and national & international student strength. 
Additionally, Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) is ranked among 221-230 best universities in the mentioned ranking, which is 30 points higher than last year. Meanwhile, Baku State University, UNEC and Khazar University are ahead of some of the South Caucasus regional universities in the stated ranking. 
This year’s ranking has been constructed using 10 indicators, including academic and employer reputation
