Beginning from the 2024-2025 academic year, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan is proud to introduce the “International Education Grant named after Heydar Aliyev”. This program is dedicated to the exceptional role of the founder of modern Azerbaijan, the brilliant political and state figure, and the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, in securing a deserving position for the Republic of Azerbaijan in the international relations system. The grant program was founded in order to support the education of foreigners in Azerbaijani higher education institutions.

Grant Duration

The grant will be offered annually for a period of 5 years, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year.

Number of Grants

100 educational grants will be provided annually.

Eligible Countries

1. Member countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organisation
2. The Non-Aligned Movement member countries
3. Countries in the group of Small Island Developing States
4. Countries where nations and national minorities share ethnic, historical, and cultural ties with Azerbaijan

Eligible Education Levels

• Preparatory Courses
• Bachelor’s degree (including main/basic higher medical education)
• Master’s degree (including medical residency)
• Doctoral level

Beneficiaries of the “International Education Grant named after Heydar Aliyev” will be provided with the following provisions:
